Fabulous Friends: Cammie Rice

This week Tony is spending time in Hong Kong visiting our fabulous friend Cammie Rice.  We love Mrs. Rice for a number of reasons including her glowing personality and commitment to the community.  One of these commitments is through her involvement with Usher’s New Look Foundation, and she has even allowed us the opportunity to get involved with this phenomenal organization.

In addition to working with Mrs. Rice in her community involvement, we also had the honor of being involved Mrs. Rice’s wedding to John Rice in 2007.  We enjoyed every moment of the planning, and we are proud to say Mrs. Rice would never do an event without us!

Favorite Places: Paris Market in Savannah

The Paris Market is truly one of our favorite places.  The market, located at the corner of W Broughton and Whitaker, brings a small piece of Paris to Savannah’s shopping district.  Unlike it’s neighbors, The Paris Market is much more than just a place to shop; it is a place to experience.  From unique home and fashion accessories to the quaint corner cafe, no detail or corner should be overlooked.  Just like a Tony Brewer & Company event, The Paris Market captures all of your senses to provide a delightful experience.

The market is located at 36 W Broughton Street.

The entrance way is framed by impatiens in beautiful pedestal planters.

On a beautiful day, take your latte outside to the bistro seating that frames the windows along W Broughton Street.

They have fabulous accessories that will make a statement at any event.

This is just a small sample of the high level of detail The Paris Market provides.

There are surprises around every corner including vintage slides.

Just like Tony Brewer & Company, great customer service it the cornerstone of their business.

Next time you are in Savannah please make sure you set aside time to experience The Paris Market. Until then, visit their website at

Inspiration Everywhere: Sandpaintings

Inspiration for events can be found in the most unexpected places including Tibetan Buddhist sandpaintings.  The process is a long and tedious one, but the attention to detail leads to beautifully crafted pieces of art fulled with vibrant colors and specific details.

Take a look at the slideshow below to see how they carefully craft the sandpaintings.

We are inspired by the level of detail, and we strive to bring that same precision to every Tony Brewer & Company event.

Tony’s Favorite Thing in Tokyo

When most people think of Tokyo they think of the hustle and bustle of a busy city filled with colorful bright lights and a soaring skyline.  Here at Tony Brewer & Company, we like to think of the amazing flower shops that spill over into the sidewalks. Tony is in Tokyo right now for a site visit and cannot stop raving about the lush shops dotting the city.

Whether day or night, the alluring flower shops call to onlookers as they walk by, and once they are inside, they can usually find a gorgeous array of Tony’s very favorite flower, the orchid.  In fact, these flower shops have served as inspiration for some of Tony Brewer & Company’s designs.

The luscious blooms are simply wonderful!  I don’t know about you, but we are feeling inspired to take a trip!

Everyday Fancy: Lavender

“Everyday Fancy” is all about bringing simple and fun new luxuries into your everyday life. Today is all about lavender!  We love lavender so much that we even grow it in our office garden.  It is our favorite spinoff from the mint family, and we are constantly looking for new ways to use it.  We wanted to share a couple of these uses with you, so you can make lavender a part of your “Everyday Fancy”.

Beyond relaxing in a lavender oil bath, we also love using dried lavender to freshen our closets and deter moths.  Yes, that is right.  Lavender helps get rid of pesky moths while leaving your clothes smelling fresh and light instead of like moth balls.  To add to the fancy factor, try hanging a dried lavender wreath inside your closet.  Fancy, fresh, and moth free!

Most of us have tried a lavender cookie or lavender ice cream, but in our quest to create more healthy habits at Tony Brewer & Company we are eating lavender salads.  We love the fresh new flavor lavender adds to fresh fruit salads and garden salads.  It is unexpected and new compared to traditional salad herbs.

Unexpected Inspiration

Have you ever thought about Darwin as inspiration for an event?  We have!    This weekend we will transform the Fernbank Museum of Natural History for their “signature gala,”  Beautiful Voyages: A Timeless Affair 2011.  The gala will raise money for Fernbank’s educational mission while focusing on their newest special exhibit, Darwin: Scientist. Naturalist. Serious to Do List.

For our inspiration we explore Darwin’s world voyage on the H.M.S. Beagle.  We know this is an unexpected inspiration, and we are excited to share our vision with everyone Saturday evening.

Now that your mind is racing with anticipation, let your imagination be carried away by the images below.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change”

Charles Darwin
